OPRAH: Please welcome the fierce Christian Siriano. Hi, honey.

SIRIANO: How are you? Look out!

OPRAH: Hello!

[GARBLED]

OPRAH: The question is, did you ever have a doubt?

SIRIANO: I really didn't.

OPRAH: You really didn't?

SIRIANO: No! There were time.

OPRAH: There were times...

SIRIANO: You look fabulous.

OPRAH: Well thank you. So do you.

SIRIANO: Thank you.

OPRAH: Fierce style. Fierce style for your style.

SIRIANO: How to be your most fabulous self.

OPRAH: How to be your most fabulous self. Did you ever, though, really during the competition feel like, “I don't know.”

SIRIANO: Every day.

OPRAH: Every day.

SIRIANO: Every day, all day. One...you know, I think you kinda put on this persona that you have to be -- I don't know -- kinda powerful. But you do, you do second-guess yourself, I think every single day. Especially 'cause I was so young. I was only 21 years old and everyone else was so much older than me and had so much more experience. So I was nervous.

OPRAH: Yeah. But I also heard – I also heard that you had $20 in the bank when you auditioned for the show.

SIRIANO: I was so broke. I was a freelance makeup artist and I couldn't get a job in fashion. Really...I really just couldn't. I applied everywhere and it was tough. New York City, it's real pricey, especially if you shop like I do.

OPRAH: Yeah.

SIRIANO: You know, there's problems.

OPRAH: So Christian, as you all know, is known for his eccentric vocabulary, like “fierce.” What does that mean to you?

SIRIANO: You know, I do define, you know, all my little phrases. And I think “fierce” really is a little bit undefinable. It's more about an expression and a state of being.

OPRAH: Yeah.

SIRIANO: You know, and I say “ferosh.”

OPRAH: And that means?

SIRIANO: Nothing really, either. It kind of, you know, it's kind of like, I say that “fierce” really can't be – you can't be taught. But “ferosh” you can be taught, a little bit easier than “fierce.”

OPRAH: And “hot mess”?

SIRIANO: Hot mess: I mean, some people are. It's...I'm sorry. But, you know, it's really more about being a “hot mess” as opposed to being a mess. It's just about somebody who is, you know, still learning about putting the look together.

OPRAH: Oh, yeah. I call it when somebody is putting on everything they own at one time.

SIRIANO: Yeah.

OPRAH: Well Christian has become a popular designer among A-list celebs like Victoria Beckham and so many others. And another one of Christian's famous clients is Project Runway host Heidi Klum. She joins us on Skype from her home in Los Angeles just days after...

KLUM: Hi!

OPRAH: ...days after having baby number 4, a little girl. How ya' feelin', Heidi?

KLUM: I'm great. Hi Oprah! Hi Christian!

OPRAH: Hi.

SIRIANO: Nice. Nice. Nice. Look at your living room.

KLUM: I want to know, you always call me “Tranny Klum.” So what does that mean?

SIRIANO: Tranny Klum – but it's a compliment because you're fabulous all the time and it's all about sequins and heels for you. Look at it. Oh, my God. I told you! Sequins! All about sequins. Fabulous!

OPRAH: What did you name the baby? What did you name her?

KLUM: Her name is Lou.

OPRAH: Lou!

KLUM: Lou Solola.

SIRIANO: Lou Slola – that's fabulous.

OPRAH: Nice! Well here's some of what Heidi's husband Seal said after baby Lou's birth: “From the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love,” he said, “at first sight. She's beautiful beyond words. And we're so happy she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years.” That's such a beautiful thing.

KLUM: I know. She's so cute. You know, we're really proud. We have four children and they're all great. And now to have another little girl, you know, we're very, very excited.

SIRIANO: Play dress up.

OPRAH: Play dress up. Christian created a little gift for baby Lou, and it was delivered to Heidi's home this morning. Heidi, do you have it there?

KLUM: I do. I have a little box. That's what's always great about Christian. He never forgets anybody, you know?

SIRIANO: Yeah, I try.

OPRAH: He tries.

KLUM: Open it?

OPRAH: Yeah. I want to see what it is.

KLUM: I'm very proud of you, Christian. You're sitting there with Oprah. I can't believe it!

SIRIANO: I know. I'm having a moment.

KLUM: Ah, it's a bib!

SIRIANO: It's a couture bib.

OPRAH: It's a couture bib.

SIRIANO: I love it. A couture bib.

OPRAH: A couture Christian Siriano bib.

SIRIANO: Fabulous.

OPRAH: Fabulous.

KLUM: And I have to say, last year at the Emmys, you know, I was wearing Christian's dress at the Emmy's but I was wearing, you know, Valentino, Armani. But you know who I got the most compliments for? It was your gown that you made for me that night on stage.

SIRIANO: I love it.

OPRAH: Tell us, Heidi, what were your first thoughts on Christian? What were your first thoughts?

KLUM: Well, I think that he's very talented. But he kind of thinks outside of the box. You know, he always...
