SCRIPT, LISTENING TIPS, & GRAMMAR

Here is a work strategy / that (is) sure to eliminate a lot of stress.  Keep meeting short and sweet.  Meetings are great tools for focusing in objectives, assigning tasks, measuring progress or motivating a group.  But they can also be horrendous time wasters.  Don’t schedule a meeting unless you have ample reason to justify one.  Have an agenda / and stick to it.  Don’t let others digress / or use it as a platform to showcase their speaking abilities.

Another tip, stagger the arrival or departure of those / who need to be there entire the time.  And enjoy the fewer, more productive / anxiety free meetings.  Why make yourself crazy?  Everyone talks about the value of freedom, but how many of us actually use our freedom?  Don’t miss my next stress tip, I’m G. Gaynor McTigue!

  • 어제 한번 들어서 그런지 오늘은 별로 코멘트 할것이 눈에 뜨이지 않습니다.  음성이 사근사근 허니 안올때 틀어 놓으면 잘오게 만들 그런 목소리 입니다….

  • Meetings are great tools for focusing in objectives, assigning tasks 보통 focus on-ing으로 우리는 많이 외우고 있는데 이 양반처럼 in을 쓰는 사람도 가끔 있더군요제귀에만 in으로 들렸나요?  on으로 들리시나요?

  • McTigue  멕타이… !  세개의 스펠이 묵음이군요….

  • Well, make it a short and focused meeting!  Pretty good tip, but who doesn’t want to do that?  Unfortunately, a period of a meeting depends on the nature of a boss, not on the members in most cases.

Some bosses use meetings as not only a platform to show off, but also a place to show who the boss is.  Blah, blah, blah… for hours of self appraisal … whenever I have to be in that kind of meeting, I usually write letters to my family, friends, so on.

Writing letters could be often very effective way of showing (pretentious) respect to those bosses because they think I’m taking notes on what they are blabbing about,: I’m serious about what you ‘re talking!  Then, you spend some quality time on writing to your loved ones while others are suffering from those meaning less “How great I am, so look at me kind of speech…!”

Of course, you always want to keep another eye and ear open to the people… because you don’t want to get caught on what you do during the meeting…!
