English Grammar & Punctuation : How to Use Parentheses

You know brackets in America call brackets, but brackets in England call Parentheses.  We will take a look today when and when not to use Parentheses, When you’re using Parentheses, you basically wanna use them in pairs and pretty much off set intense moment or weaker moment of sentences.  Let’s take a look at the example to give you better idea.

I like this cold (and cozy) weather.  (and cozy) is basically telling you just little bit more about the sentence. Something additional that I want you to know about the weather that I like.  If you take this sentence out completely, sentence itself stands on its own.  So when you think about modifying a sentence, everything that goes inside those Parentheses will help you do that.

You could also say something like my favorite book hung by the tongue is very good and also suspensable, at suspensable I would put in Parentheses, just add extra meaning to the book that I like.  So again when you’re thinking about using the Parentheses in a sentence, just think about as either emphasizing or taking away from what’s going on here in the sentence.  Those are using Parentheses today, hope that helps.

I am Page Carerra, Happy writing.

- In The Arms Of The Angel

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
Oh, You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
