사실, 말이 안되는것 같지만 이 비디오에서는 정말 소리가 나오는 스피커를 만들었습니다. 만드는 과정을 설명하는 영어가 듣기에 쉬운 편이고 흥미롭기도 해서 올려 봅니다. 거의 2년 전에 올린 비디오 인데 그동안 많은 관심을 끌어서 2백만 히트 이상을 기록 했군요…

OK, today we’re going to be creating a high definition audio speaker using just a couple of household items. First things you’re going to need here / are paper plate, some aluminum foil, a little bit of tape, and also you can need a shiny penny. Now it is important to note / that / you use a shiny penny for this as a corrode penny will increase electrical resistance / which will result in poor sound. So go ahead and wrap your aluminum foil over the convex side of your paper plate. It is important that an aluminum foil wrapped around a plate / and create a closure for the air aluminum inside. This will give you reverberation in fact.
l reverberation is the persistence of sound in a particular space after the original sound is removed.
After you wrap the tin foil around the plate, go ahead and set it down. You’re going to place the penny / somewhere towards the center of your plate. Go ahead put some tape / on top of the penny to hold in place. You can need to grab a mini-jack cable / with some exposed wiring. You can take from old headset or basically anything that has this plug-on in. Go ahead make sure it (exposed wire) touching the penny. Seal it down with the tape.
Once you’ve done that, you can plug it into your (audio) system. Once you’ve made sure the connection is secure, you can go ahead and test it out. And you should have results like this. It is important to note that since we are using only one speaker here, the audio will not be quite off the park as if you have a 7.1 system or something along those lines. Now what you can do / is create multiple plates speakers like this / and set them up around your room, or your living room and have the full effect what you’re looking for. And there you have it, a high definition speaker for under one dollar. Watch out folks!

l made sure 이게 또 상당히 유용한 표현 입니다. 우리는 흔히 각 상황에 적합한 하나의 단어를 외우는데 집중 하지만 사실 이런 쉬운 단어의 조합으로 상당히 많은 상황에 다양한 뜻을 전달하는데 사용할수 있습니다. make sure또한 다양하게 쓰일수 있습니다.
”이번주말 소풍가는게 확실한가요? 이걸 영작하려면 우리는 보통, “Is there going to be a picnic this weekend?” 정도로 할수 있지만 한글 문장속에 담겨있는 “확실”이라는 뭔가 확정적인 의미는 실려 있지 않다고 느낄수 있지요. 그래서, make sure를 사용해서 “Could you please make sure that there will be a picnic over the weekend?” 정도로 영작을 하면, 의문과 함께 뭔가를 확실하게 하자 혹은 할수 있게 한다라는 의미를 충분히 전달 할수 있습니다.
